Flora Europaea the original Linnean specimen           A steppe Balkan - Pontic - Central Asian xeric shrub with an isolated patch in Central Europea (Czech Republic). In Romania it is present only in northern Dobrudja, two relic localities in Transylvania, some in the Moldavian Subcarpathians and one on the calcareous massif of Tampa near Brasov.
